Twitter e i suoi 100 milioni di utenti
Il primo tweet, il primo cinguettio del social network, dedicato al microblogging, c’è stato 5 anni fà. Da quel giorno Twitter si è sviluppato, migliorandosi e diventando more friendly verso i propri utenti, i quali giorno dopo giorno sono aumentati di numero, arrivando alla straordinaria quota di 100 milioni.
In un post sul blog ufficiale viene data comunicazione di come Twitter abbia raggiunto e superato i 100 milioni di utenti attivi, i quali accedono per condividere i propri pensieri e per conoscere ciò che succede attorno a loro, informandosi sui proprio interessi.
Tuttavia non è tutto oro quello che luccica, purtroppo circa il 40 per cento degli utenti accede al sito maggiormente per leggere messaggi e novità e non per scrivere propri stati, non utilizzando al massimo il Twitter’s concept, ossia quello di utilizzare 140 caratteri per testimoniare le proprie riflessioni, per raccontare avvenimenti e diffondere news.
Un potente strumento di comunicazione.
Twitter oggi è il punto di riferimento per comunicare e fare informazione. L”immediatezza e la facilità di accesso lo rendono ineguagliabile, da un dato comunicatoci dal CEO Dick Costolo:
circa 55 milioni d’ iscritti, ogni mese accedono al social network da uno smartphone o un tablet.
motivo per cui il dinamismo e la facile connettività con cui si può utilizzare il social network hanno contribuito non poco alla sua crescita.
Tornando al post del blog ufficiale, viene data nota di come Twitter venga utilizzato da tutti, da organizzazioni influenti e personaggi pubblici, tra cui 35 capi di stato, atleti e squadre professionistiche, importanti organizzazioni no-profit, artisti famosi e grandi media, analisi statistici inoltre, prevedono che altri 26 milioni di utenti si aggiungeranno al totale entro la fine dell’anno.
